Winter Park, Florida-based Advanced Recovery Systems acquired Promises Behavioral Health in early July. A representative of the company says the deal “[puts] together two organizations focused on providing evidence-based, expert care for individuals with addiction and mental health conditions.” Combined, the company operates 24 facilities in 14 states. The combined company offers medical detox, inpatient, residential and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment services. In January, Axios reported that Advanced Recovery Systems’ backer, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, halted its auction of the company.
