The former Rock Regional Hospital in Derby will soon be known as Ascension Via Christi St. Peter. The hospital system announced that it has acquired the hospital, which closed in January after filing for bankruptcy protection the previous month. Via Christi said the next step will be getting the 90,000-square-foot facility in operating condition and integrating it into the Ascension network.
