BPEA has announced it has closed its BPEA Strategic Healthcare fund with $352 million. The new fund includes commitments from 16 organized labor groups and other institutional investors. BPEA stated the new fund — the firm’s fourth dedicated healthcare fund and tenth overall fund — will invest in private healthcare companies directly and through specialist healthcare private equity firms. More specifically, the fund will target investments in healthcare services and healthcare information technology companies.
