Private-duty nursing isn’t the new kid on the home care block, but it is increasingly becoming part of the popular crowd. Advancements in care have allowed medically fragile people of all ages to live longer and at home, fueling demand for this part of the home care ecosystem. PDN, which is largely private pay but also often a Medicaid benefit, it is seeing more demand as people with complex conditions live longer and can safely receive medical care outside of a hospital or institutional setting. This meshes with the recognition that people much prefer to live and receive care at home.
