Family Care Network, the Bellingham-based provider of primary and urgent care throughout Whatcom and Skagit counties, is acquiring Optum’s Bellingham clinic. Optum has operated the Bellingham clinic for the last seven years. With about 30 staff, including nearly seven core clinicians, Optum has run the Bellingham clinic mostly as a family medicine and primary care clinic, Optum Care Washington Executive Medical Director Dr. Steve English said. The clinic served about 8,000 patients and has also offered walk-in urgent care, he added.
