Is GE HealthCare’s Patient Care Solutions unit “better parked with someone else?” That’s one question the company’s management team seeks to answer as it reviews strategic options for the business segment. CEO Peter Arduini told investors the company is looking at the business in many different ways to see how to have the unit be a contributor, “whether it’s a contributor for us or someone else; that needs to be addressed.” In a statement shared with MD+DI, GE HealthCare confirmed that its review of strategic options for its Patient Care Solutions (PCS) segment includes continued ownership, sale, or other value-enhancing transactions to maximize long-term growth and value for the company.
