The agreements between the George Washington University (GW), Medical Faculty Associates, Inc. (MFA) and Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) to transition clinical services at GW Hospital, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center and affiliated outpatient locations to Capital Medical Group have been executed and are in effect. Capital Medical is a new physician-led nonprofit subsidiary of UHS. The majority of MFA physicians and staff are transitioning to Capital Medical, helping to ensure continuity of care with many of the same providers in familiar locations—including MFA’s 2300 M St. NW location, which has been acquired by GW as part of the transaction.
