Des Moines, IA-based LCS will add Chicago-based Vi’s 10 continuing care retirement / life plan communities to its portfolio as part of a strategic merger agreement, LCS announced. Vi’s Type A (also known as extensive or lifecare), entrance-fee CCRCs are located in Florida (three); California (two); Arizona (two), Colorado, Illinois and South Carolina (one each). The company has more than 3,000 employees and serves more than 4,000 residents, according to LCS. LCS and Vi are two of the largest senior living companies in the United States.
