Rhode Island-based Lifespan announces that it has finalized the acquisition of two Steward Health Care hospitals in Fall River and Taunton. Lifespan said its Massachusetts subsidiary, Lifespan of Massachusetts, has assumed operation of Saint Anne’s Hospital and Morton Hospital. According to Lifespan officials, more than 3,500 employees will be integrated into their system.
