Executives pointed to policy changes from the Biden administration as reasons for the Medicare Advantage business’ poor performance so far this year. After the bleak earnings report led UnitedHealth’s shares to plunge, Elevance Health reassured investors in a filing later Thursday that its Medicare Advantage business is performing in line with expectations.
