National Healthcare Properties has closed on approximately $197 million in acquisitions for its senior housing operating portfolio since late June, the New York City-based self-managed real estate investment trust announced. Among the deals, in late June, NHP acquired two senior living communities in the Midwest for $98 million. The communities, with a total of 211 units, will be managed by one of the REIT’s existing operating partners. And within the past week, NHP acquired 14 senior living communities across the Midwest, South and Mid-Atlantic region for about $99 million. The communities, which include a total of 722 units, will be managed by two of the REIT’s existing operating partners.
