Global healthcare VC funding had its strongest showing in Q1 since Q3 2018, but saw deal counts continue to decline and activity in Europe and Asia decline dramatically. More than $14.62 billion was invested in the healthcare sector in Q1, according to data from CB Insights. Funding levels are up 4 percent from Q4 2019, when $14 billion was invested across 1,228deals. Deals have declined quarter-over-quarter since Q2 2019.
