A new chapter in healthcare begins for Stokes County as Novant Health officially welcomes Community Hospital of Stokes and its roughly 200 dedicated team members into the Novant Health care network. This milestone represents a significant step in Novant Health’s long-term strategy to create a healthier future for the residents of Stokes County. Community Hospital of Stokes has been a cornerstone of the Stokes County community since its founding in 1954 as Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Today, the 53-bed critical access hospital provides convenient access to imaging, laboratory, surgical and emergency services. The hospital also includes the Stokes County Nursing Home, a 40-bed skilled nursing unit.
