Optum Agrees to Acquire Flexcare Infusion

UnitedHealth Group’s Optum agreed to acquire Oklahoma City ambulatory infusion network FlexCare Infusion, sources familiar tell Axios. Despite growing antitrust scrutiny over UnitedHealth’s dominance in the provider market, its Optum unit continues to acquire specialty providers at a steady clip. The deal price could not be learned, but FlexCare is projecting close to $10 million in pro-forma EBITDA, one source says. Infusion assets have been commanding multiples in the high teens of EBITDA, Axios has reported. FlexCare has 30 centers across Alabama, Arizona and Oklahoma, according to its website.
