PeaceHealth has reached an agreement to acquire a Bellingham physician-owned surgery center. Under a proposed agreement, PeaceHealth would acquire the assets of Pacific Rim Outpatient Surgery Center. The agreement requires regulatory approval and a decision on the acquisition is expected to happen in March or April, according to a joint statement from the buyer and seller. According to its website, Pacific Rim has five operating rooms and three procedure rooms. The facility does around 5,000 surgeries a year and nearly 60 surgeons are allowed to work in the 20,000-square-foot facility.
