Pittsburgh’s Biggest Private Equity Firm Buys One of Atlanta’s Fastest-Growing Companies

Pittsburgh’s largest private equity firm has acquired an Atlanta-based company that sources and distributes health care supplies. Incline Equity Partners on Tuesday announced the deal but not financial details of its purchase of ASP Global. “ASP serves an important niche by providing a tailored product offering to a marketplace accustomed to a limited set of alternatives,” Tom Ritchie, an Incline partner, said in a prepared statement. “The company has experienced tremendous growth supported by an exceptional value proposition in a recession resistant end market.” ASP, which completed five acquisitions in recent years, sources more than 3,000 unique products from over 150 factories in 15 countries. It says its programs regularly save hospital, home health and hospice providers 30% or more on consumable medical products by improving quality and reducing costs in the supply chain and eliminating unnecessary layers.
