PureTech Health, a Boston biopharma company that has created drug developers like Karuna Therapeutics and Seaport Therapeutics, confirmed on Monday that it was in discussions with Nordic Capital Epsilon about a “possible cash offer.” But a few hours later, Nordic Capital issued a disclosure on the London Stock Exchange stating that its proposal was rejected by PureTech’s board. Nordic Capital said it “does not intend to make an offer for PureTech” but that the firm “reserves the right to acquire PureTech shares.”
