Senior living leaders were in the nation’s capital to educate hospital and health system leaders about senior living and what it can bring to the care continuum. “Hospital and health-system executives make decisions every day that affect where older adults go and how well they do once they get there — and senior living is too often a blind spot in that thinking,” Argentum President and CEO James Balda told McKnight’s Senior Living. He and Brookdale Senior Living CEO Nick Stengle were among the participants in a panel discussion about “how hospitals, post-acute care providers, senior living communities and other players can collaborate to improve care quality, reduce costs and lower hospital readmission rates” at the Healthcare of Tomorrow 2026 Conference.
