The number of senior living mergers and acquisitions in 2025 has reached “new heights,” with 733 publicly announced deals recorded in the last 12 months, according to a recent report from Irving Levin Associates. The dollar value of said transactions isn’t quite keeping pace. For comparison, dealmakers inked 518 deals in 2023 and 717 in 2024. Whereas the deal landscape for senior living was once dominated by large transactions of 10 or more properties, dealmakers these days are transacting on multiple smaller deals.
