The Queen’s Health System Acquires Wahiawa General Hospital

The Queen’s Health System announces it completed the purchase of Wahiawa General Hospital (WGH), welcoming it to Queen’s and renaming it The Queen’s Medical Center—Wahiawa. WGH, a nonprofit hospital opened in 1957, serves more than 150,000 residents and the communities of Wahiawa, Central O‘ahu and the North Shore. It is an important part of the health care continuum for the communities it serves. As part of the due diligence process during the acquisition by Queen’s, WGH’s board, administration, physicians and staff had the opportunity to be a part of the process.
