UPMC International is buying another hospital in Ireland, this time a 71-bed facility that is the country’s oldest private hospital. The 105-year-old Aut Even Hospital will become UPMC Aut Even and become part of the growing stable of UPMC’s health care facilities in Ireland. Aut Even had been in receivership before being acquired by Beltany Finance, which is owned by Goldman Sachs. Financial terms of the agreement weren’t announced, although it will have to be approved by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission in Ireland. The hospital has 71 inpatient beds along with an 18-bed outpatient unit and has services in a number of specialties, including orthopaedics, radiology, gynecology and endoscopy.
