Warburg Pincus, CVC Among Bidders in Fray for Philippines’ Largest Private Hospital

Private-equity firms including Warburg Pincus, CVC Capital Partners and TPG are among several bidders vying for a stake in the largest private hospital in the Philippines in a deal that could value the business at around $3.0 billion, people familiar with the process said. The sale process for Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings, which was started last year by a KKR-led consortium, has also attracted many long-only funds, the people said. KKR and Singapore sovereign-wealth fund GIC own a combined 80% in the hospital group. The rest is owned by Metro Pacific Investments Corp.
