The Sept. 1 sale of the stand-alone skilled nursing facility of The Wesleyan, a senior living community in Georgetown, TX, represents a growing trend among long-term care operators, according to one person involved in the deal. The property was sold to Wellsential Health, which is managed by Regency Integrated Health Services. It’s becoming common for long-term care operators to divest of their stand-alone SNFs to focus on the private-pay segments of independent living, assisted living and memory care, Cain Brothers Director Dominic Porretta told the McKnight’s Business Daily. That’s what The Wesleyan is doing. The SNF’s new owner, Wellsential Health, is the largest family of nonprofit SNFs in Texas.
