Forrest Health has signed a letter of agreement for Forrest General Hospital to acquire the Perry County General Hospital and The Doctor’s Clinic in Richton. The acquisition of the 22-bed critical access facility was finalized on January 1, 2022. Forrest General Hospital, the flagship hospital of Forrest Health, is investing in the Richton community to expand services and continue providing a high-quality level of care to the residents of South Mississippi. Richton is located about 20 miles east of Petal in Perry County, which is home to approximately 12,000 residents.
