Cayuga Health and Arnot Health, two of the three medical systems serving the Southern Tier, Finger Lakes and Central New York Regions, announced the two would affiliate under a new entity, Centralus Health. Centralus Health will oversee $1 billion of medical services provided over nine counties in the Twin Tiers region of New York and Pennsylvania. Five hospitals across the regions will operate under the new entity: Cayuga Health’s Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca and Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, Arnot Health’s two hospitals in Elmira — the Arnot Ogden Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital — as well as the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath.
