Medical City Healthcare announced the purchase of 13 CommunityMed urgent care centers that will be part of CareNow® Urgent Care. The locations are strategically located in communities underserved by urgent care including Arlington, Bartonville, Crossroads, Haslet, Heath, Mansfield, Melissa, Midlothian, Princeton, Prosper and Wichita Falls, which is a new market for Medical City Healthcare. As a result of this acquisition, CareNow will have more than 95 sites across Texas, strengthening Medical City Healthcare’s position as the largest urgent care provider in the region. The acquisition also significantly expands HCA Healthcare’s urgent care presence as one of the nation’s leading urgent care providers with more than 340 locations.
