The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare’s acquisition of Franciscan Health Olympia Fields (Ill.). The 214-bed hospital is expected to transition to Prime on May 1, according to a news release shared with Becker’s. Olympia Fields is set to become Prime’s ninth Illinois hospital and 55th overall. In March 2025, the health system acquired eight Illinois facilities from St. Louis-based Ascension.
