Home health and hospice providers should prepare for a moratorium that lasts longer than six months, ensuing Medicaid moratoria and heightened scrutiny on business transactions. Those were a few takeaways from a webinar hosted by the Polsinelli law firm on the moratorium Wednesday. Two experts from care-at-home M&A firm The Braff Group spoke during the webinar. “I would expect to see an increase in enrollment denials, even retroactive denials, revocation actions, deactivation actions stemming from this heightened focus during this enrollment pause,” Ross Sallade, home health, home care and hospice chair for Polsinelli, said during the webinar.
