A West Coast hospital network, SAGE Veterinary Centers, is continuing a buying spree with the acquisition of Adobe Animal Hospital, which operates two practices in the San Francisco Bay area. Terms were not disclosed. The purchase delivers general practice to the SAGE network, which until now has focused on specialty and emergency care. The acquisition of Adobe Animal Hospital was made possible through an investment agreement reached in late 2018 between SAGE and the private equity firm Chicago Pacific Founders Fund L.P. SAGE already owns four Northern California hospitals — in Campbell, Concord, Dublin and Redwood City — as well as ophthalmology clinics in San Carlos and San Francisco.
