Community Health Systems Wraps 2025 with Narrow Gains, Flagging Same-Store Volumes

Community Health Systems put 2024’s losses in the rear view, reporting modest fourth-quarter numbers that executives said place the hospital operator on a stronger path for 2026. The Franklin, Tennessee-based for-profit, which now owns or leases 65 affiliated hospitals after a string of divestitures, said it logged $3.14 billion in total net operating revenues during the quarter, right in line with investors’ expectations. This was a 4.9% decline from the prior year but a 2.1% increase when comparing business across the facilities CHS held on to.
