Enhanced Healthcare Partners, a midmarket private-equity firm focused on health care, is creating a medical-staffing services provider by buying and merging two separate companies. The firm is acquiring Synergy Surgicalists Inc. and EA Health and merging them into a single company, EA-Synergy. The company will offer clinical staffing and management services for emergency medicine, orthopedic and general surgery staffing, as well as specialty on-call services. Synergy Surgicalists, a Bozeman, Mont.-based business founded in 2012, provides outsourced surgical staff, often referred to as surgicalists, to around 50 hospitals across the U.S., said Samarth Chandra, a general partner at Enhanced Healthcare. Meanwhile, San Diego-based EA Health, which was founded in 1992, provides the infrastructure backbone for the newly combined platform. The company offers data analytics, revenue-cycle-management services and physician staffing services to help hospitals and doctors manage emergency medical programs.
