Situated in the affluent North Shore area of Long Island, local median home values exceed $1 million and the average net worth of households exceeds $3 million. The Harborside opened in 2010 as an entrance fee CCRC utilizing a tax-exempt and taxable bond financing of approximately $296 million. The community has 229 independent living units and a 100-unit healthcare center. The purchase price was $86 million. Chelsea Senior Living, who operates 4 other senior living communities on Long Island, is managing the property for Focus.
