Hospital conglomerate Hawaii Pacific Health and the state’s largest health insurer, Hawaii Medical Service Association, are exploring what they’re calling bold solutions that require structural changes. In a statement, the parent company of four major hospitals including Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children and Straub Benioff Medical Center said: “While these discussions are preliminary, they are urgently needed. Together, we are laying the foundation for healthier communities for generations to come.”
