HCA Completes Purchase of Frisbie Memorial Hospital

HCA Healthcare’s Capital Division announced Sunday the completion of the purchase of Frisbie Memorial Hospital, further enhancing its position as a leader in providing community healthcare excellence in New Hampshire. Frisbie Memorial Hospital (FMH) is a 112-licensed bed acute care facility in Strafford County. The hospital was founded in 1916 by Dr. Water Roberts and nurse Minnie Eagle to serve the needs of the Rochester community. As part of the purchase, HCA Healthcare has committed to constructing a psychiatric area in the FMH ER, replacing the current MRI, and constructing a pharmacy clean room. These improvements will permit FMH to provide much needed, new services to the Rochester community including behavioral health.
