Hospices need a nimble approach in navigating this year’s most significant challenges, which include intensifying regulatory oversight, increasing demand and labor and financial pressures. Hospice care delivery is reaching a pivotal evolutionary period as demand swells and staffing resources dwindle, according to Diana Franchitto, president and CEO at HopeHealth, which provides hospice, dementia and palliative care in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Franchitto is also board chair of the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI).
