For one regional health system, the journey toward opening up a new cardiovascular outpatient surgery center means layering a new joint venture on top of an existing one. To ensure such an arrangement doesn’t result in having too many cooks in the proverbial kitchen, Wilmington, Delaware-based ChristianaCare determined that creating the right recipe for governance was critical, Vinay Maheswhari, M.D., physician executive of growth and strategic partnerships at ChristianaCare, told Ambulatory Surgery Center News.
