LECOM in Discussions to Acquire Bradford Medical Center

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) is in discussions with Kaleida Health regarding an acquisition of the Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) campus, per a release from Kaleida, to ensure the continuation of essential healthcare services for the Bradford community. Previous plans to close “The Pavilion,” a 95-bed skilled nursing facility on the campus, have been paused, and residents will remain in place while LECOM assumes operations. The campus’ 20-bed inpatient unit and emergency department are still scheduled to close. The proposed acquisition remains subject to regulatory approvals, as well as negotiation and execution of definitive agreements by the organizations.
