Greenwood (Miss.) Leflore Hospital has signed a letter of intent with the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., to potentially take over its services amid ongoing financial challenges, Mississippi Today reported. “GLH is also exploring options to lease, sell or otherwise transfer the hospital to a larger healthcare system, which would allow GLH to continue to provide services to the people in its service area,” said Gary Marchand, Greenwood Leflore’s former interim CEO and current consultant for its board, according to the publication.
