Pennsylvania’s attorney general reached an agreement with two healthcare systems to move forward with an acquisition, provided the systems keep facilities open and maintain certain practices. The state and the systems signed consent judgment agreeing to Allegheny Health Network’s acquisition of Heritage Valley Healthcare System with conditions. The judgment was filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Allegheny Health, a regional healthcare system operating 14 hospitals and other healthcare facilities, agreed to acquire Heritage Valley in October 2025. Heritage Valley owns two acute care hospitals and several outpatient facilities.
