In the global medical devices industry, there were 20 private equity deals announced in Q1 2024, worth a total value of $4.4bn, according to GlobalData’s Deals Database. The $2.5bn management buy-out (mbo) Agiliti by Thomas H. Lee Partners was the industry’s largest disclosed deal. In value terms, private equity deal activity increased by 144% in Q1 2024 compared with the previous quarter’s total of $1.8bn and rose by 1079% as compared to Q1 2023. Related deal volume decreased by 26% in Q1 2024 versus the previous quarter and was 26% lower than in Q1 2023.
