Providence will acquire a Meditech consulting form, adding to its roster of electronic health record consulting services. Navin, Haffty & Associates, a nearly 20-year-old private company, on Tuesday announced it had been acquired by Providence Services Group, a group of healthcare technology services firms owned by Renton, Wash.-based Providence. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Navin Haffty will work closely with Engage IT Services, another Meditech consulting firm that Providence purchased in 2013, to offer customers implementation, hosting, service desk, application support, staff augmentation and technical services. Combined, Navin Haffty and Engage IT Services have more than 300 staff members and have served more than 500 hospital customers, according to the companies.
