Fairfield, Calif.-based NorthBay Health has signed a letter of intent to acquire Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, Calif., a move that would expand the system to three hospitals. Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center is a 198-bed hospital and one of the largest employers in Napa County. NorthBay Health currently operates two hospitals — NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, Calif., and NorthBay VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville, Calif. The system also includes a 100-provider primary and specialty care medical group, the NorthBay Cancer Center and the Active Wellness Center at NorthBay Health medical fitness facility.
