In the North American medical devices industry, there were 12 private equity deals announced in Q4 2023, worth a total value of $1.1bn, according to GlobalData’s Deals Database. The $635.4m Institutional Buy-out (IBO) Sharecare by Claritas Capital was the industry’s largest disclosed deal. In value terms, private equity deal activity in North America decreased by 31% in Q4 2023 compared with the previous quarter’s total of $1.6bn and rose by 26% as compared to Q4 2022. Related deal volume remained flat in Q4 2023 versus the previous quarter and was 29% lower than in Q4 2022.
