Methodist Hospital-Stone Oak has signed a purchase agreement to acquire Select Rehabilitation Hospital of San Antonio. As part of the deal, the Far North Central facility will be rebranded as the Methodist Hospital-Stone Oak Rehabilitation Center. The center has provided specialized treatment programs for patients dealing with everything from strokes, neurological diseases, Guillain-Barre syndrome, anyotrophic lateral Scleroris, Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders to lower-limb amputations and orthopedic conditions, including hip fracture and joint replacement. Methodist Hospital-Stone Oak currently has 15 rehabilitation beds on its campus. With the acquisition, it will add 42 more beds.
