Shuttered Behavioral Clinics Could Be Sold in December

Two properties owned by Retreat Behavioral Health could be sold by the end of the month, the LancasterOnline reported Dec. 6. Behavioral Health operated inpatient treatment facilities in Palm Springs, Fla.; New Haven, Conn.; and Ephrata, Pa. The inpatient sites abruptly closed in June, after the company’s CEO and chief administrative officer died by suicide. Court-appointed receivers are selling the properties in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Florida, LancasterOnline reported. A previous deal to sell Retreat’s two Pennsylvania properties fell through in October, according to the outlet.
