SSM Health plans to sell three of its nonprofit nursing homes in Wisconsin — including 184-bed St. Mary’s Care Center in Madison, the largest of Dane County’s 18 nursing homes — to a for-profit long-term care company in New Jersey. St. Louis-based SSM Health said that it plans to sell the Madison facility, along with 102-bed St. Clare Meadows in Baraboo and 50-bed Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun, to Complete Care, which owns nine nursing homes in Wisconsin and facilities in five other states.
