Virtua Health plans to acquire Moorestown-based Reconstructive Orthopedics in a deal that will add 60 clinicians and 300 total employees to Virtua Medical Group, the buyer said April 19. The acquisition, which is expected to close in July, will also bring eight locations to South Jersey’s largest health system. The target’s offices are situated in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland and Gloucester counties. The practices will operate as Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics. According to Virtua, Reconstructive Orthopedics was founded in 1977 and ranks among the largest New Jersey-based orthopedic practices, having performed more than 100,000 surgical procedures.
