Western Optical Supply Inc., a supplier and manufacturer of optical dispensing tools, was recently acquired from its founder, Joshua Freilich, by eyecare industry veteran, Joe Sabel, ABOC, and his wife Holly.Along with the change in ownership, the company is relocating from Santa Fe, N.M. to Green Bay, Wis. Over the past 20 years, Joe Sabel has held various leadership roles for Essilor, Walman, Lombart and most recently, Bausch + Lomb. Speaking of the acquisition, he remarked, “Western’s brand is known for innovation, high quality and a great price. Our intention is to build the same level of trust with eyecare professionals that they know and expect from Western.”
