While Healthtech Deals Rise, Healthcare Services Falls

Private equity investment in healthcare technology hit a multi-year high in 2025, a sharp contrast with funding for the healthcare services sector. There were $14.6 billion in healthtech deals as of Nov. 17, 2025, a 595% increase from the $2 billion recorded in 2024, according to PitchBook data. This represents the highest total since 2021, when the pandemic drove hype around themes such as telehealth and wearable healthcare devices. By contrast, PE dealmaking in the healthcare services industry slowed sharply over the same period, with total funding declining from $15.2 billion to $9 billion.
