UnityPoint Health assumed ownership of MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center, including the hospital and several of its facilities, on September 1, 2025. The new name is UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s – Downtown. “This is an important milestone for UnityPoint Health, our providers and team members, and most importantly, the patients and communities who rely upon these institutions for care,” said Scott Kizer, President and Chief Executive Officer of UnityPoint Health. “Patients can feel reassured that we will continue to provide the high-quality care they have come to know and expect from our organizations.”
